Back in the 80's - I did look at the Skyleader Radio as they did two forms ... a kit or ready to use.
But I decided to go with JR ... glad I did.
During a competition weekend in UK - I was flying my Heli .. 35Mhz JR Propo 8 ... I had the frequency peg. A famous fixed wing aerobatics champ stupidly tried flying his Heli while I was in the air. He had a Skyleader radio .. My JR never gave any twitch or glitch ... but his Skyleader didn't - ending up with a crash of his heli. Apart from the fact he should not have switched on - the surprise was the difference in control ..

A Globe/TEMCO Swift from Maxford has landed in the hangar. Not the most accurate scale wise but it'll do.The full size one was aluminum construction like most modern production civil aircraft. This one has a big rubber free flight look which I'm fine with too. She has yet to fly due to weather conditions and graphics are on order from Callie.

Yes ... very nice ...
I know I'm only saying what you already know ... forward swept tapered wing there .... but at least it has generous dihedral ... I wouldn't slow her down too much !!
Cheers

Currently under construction in the works. Maxford 27% Gee Bee Model Y Senior Sportster , 97" WS,around 16 lb AUW if it goes right, Rimfire 50 CC motor, Zoar 22 x 8 prop, CC 165 amp ESC,12S 5000mah lipo,Hitec HS311 servos.
Build quality is average with the usual ARF construction. Scale fidelity is so-so especially the graphics which have been removed already. The 'pin stripe' was about 5 times too wide and should be about 1/8" . I tried the 1/8 " pinstripe but couldn't cover the zig zags in the red covering so went with 1/4'"stripe.
The registry numbers were too big, not straight and each number cocked off to multiple directions. New graphics are on order from Callie. The wing tube had to be sanded vigorously to get it to even come close to going into the fuselage tube. Supplied wheels are trash with axle bearings being off centre to each other and the tires have tons of runout.
Zero instructions were supplied but they are downloadable from Maxford. In typical Maxford fashion the build guide is vague and convoluted for lack of a better description. However she is big
She's definitely not a Henry Hafke grade model but she'll do.

Freewing 90mm F-22. Got 4 flights on it this past weekend. Today I decided to take the JF90 8S setup out of my Freewing 90mm F-4 and swap it with the 6S system in the F-22. Can't wait to fly on 8S!

Just slapped together a Superfly from http://superflyrc.com
Put a different canopy on.
Used existing paint in the garage.
Looks drab paint wise, but looks a Flys slick alright.
See the build here https://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52774

Got all the panel lines and clear coating done last night. I had to take some liberties with the leading edge of the belly bay doors as the panel lines were not molded into the center piece of foam, but I think it came out good. Debating on whether or not to do some more weathering to it. Maybe later. Looking forward to some 8S flights tomorrow!

Friend let me film his new airplane. Turbo Bushmaster using a 6s 3700mah is a phenomenal looking model. Here is the video I took of the flight on a slightly windy day. It’s on my list of planes to purchase.

Built an Alien Zero Whoop while watching Super Bowl. Awesome Sauce Motors, Cockroach frame (Welder glue reinforced struts), Caddx Firefly Cam/vtx (split), clear tpu camera mount printed on my Taz 6, Spektrum DSMX full range receiver, PW2.0 power connector, GNB HV 260mah Lipo, Eachine Props. It’s FAST & slippery.

Just an amazing morning in Central Florida for an Amazing RC Model and it is a crying shame this model is discontinued.
After working on it throughout the night, replacing the Stock ESC to the Castle Creations Thunderbird 36-AMP ESC and touching up on the paint after filling in some void areas on the Foam, this morning I was able to maiden the model on my watch!
Performed just what I had expected after watching my buddy who had one a couple of years ago. It performed Cuban-8's, Hammer heads and some inverted flights. Of course this following Video shows the second (2nd) flight as the maiden was great as well it was recorded in just too low of light.
Oh, yes, the only reason that I changed out the Stock ESC was because it came with a Battery Connector that I just didn't have (Converter).
Okay, here is the Video:
