Scratch Contets 2 Entry: KF Airfoiled R/E DLG glider
#1

Well this may or may not be the final model, but it feels really nice, uses fishing line for control, line is in boom(arrowshaft) DLG is throwing the plane by the wing(for those that dont know) as in track Discuss
anyways hoping to break 100ft up it seems sturdy enough... may have to sand down more.. it does fly i know that glide rate isnt the greatest but its pretty good(as in sink rate is alittel high) it flies fast too because airfoil is so thin.

Looks good, green! just watch that pods bracing/strength...as I'm sure you know, launching a DLG generates CONSIDERABLE side forces when you get it right, I've heard of world class launches folding full CF fuses!

Yes i know lol many of my past DLG's exploded right after the throw, due to an inferior way of mounting the wings. But now... i can throw it all i want, only problem is rudder, keeps breaking off the snow is so dang hard....
