I remember the Connie quite well.
Flew from Ca. to Hi. on a military Connie,
in 1954, it had wooden benches fore & aft
next to the fuse sides.
There was a lot of shaking going on, & I
guess it was the engineer that came back
& stated we were at the point of no/return.
It didn't help any ones feelings.

Been thinking about my next plane(s) as Black Friday gets closer. Want another edf and will go for the FW Stinger 90 or maybe the new 80mm F5.
But I also want a general purpose sport aerobatic flyer like an Edge 540, Extra 330, Cap 232. 3D is not a requirement.
Want an arf balsa plane in a 40 size that I can transplant my 870kv Omega 130 or SK3 1000kv and a few Hitec 82mg's.
Looking at the GP Sportster EP, HK Vans RV-4, Sig 4 star and the Phoenix models. Even a Decathalon. Just want something I can zip around the field with. Practice some basic aerobatic maneuvers. Not into the hovering.
Thoughts?

So many on my wish list but ... Right now , my favorite is my Phoenix EMB 312 Tucano. I'm really impressed with the quality they put out . Built like a brick "out house" ( was going to use another term)
Think I might go for the Sportster first for about $105.00 shipped from Tower as I have the gear to stuff into that one. Then get the Stinger 90 or F5 later.

I just picked up an Eflite Mig 15 to replace the Sbach I sold since I've always wanted to try an EDF, and also finished up a Flying Hobbies Python (the Mark Rittenger design from about 10 years ago). Hoping to get to fly one of them soon...

The 1650mm Cessna Skylane - rebuilt - friend gave it to me after he crashed it.
It dwarfs all around it .... lucky I have the van to carry it in.

I went ahead and ordered the Sportster after watching one fly at our field. Pretty nice.
I have an Omega 130 870kv or a SK3 100kv to use, hitec servos, 50 amp esc.

58" Extra 300 by Extreme Flight ..... shop was selling on when they started flying larger Krill models Sbach.
Only thing this has an OS FS70 up front .... not electric.
