Don sent out a General Announcement ... seems Site Owners are not so good ....

I post this on this listing as I think more people look at this listing than any other.

So things are not so great ... search is rubbish ... uploads a bit slow ... BUT c'mon Guys and Dolls ... this needs our support and commitment to Don ...

Wattflyer is THE best place ... I certainly can live with the forum as is ... hoping that site owners wake up sometime.
I can live with this to enjoy the camaraderie of members here.

Lets stand with Don ... and I would like to propose a Round of Thanks to Don for his efforts.

I enjoy this site very much. I have also learned a great deal about building and flying. This is absolutly the best site. I have also been able to converse with like minded people from around the world, which in itself, is awesome.

To get round the slow uploads ... use a third party site such as Photobucket etc.

Actually... I haven't been seeing any issues with search or speed.

A couple of posts with a lot of picture in them have taken a few seconds, but with several high res photos I kind of expect it to take a few seconds.

Linux (Ubuntu 14.x) and Firefox.

Thanks guys, we have worked very hard at keeping this site running with minimal support, and that is putting it nicely.

Don is the key to keeping it all together and has the full support of the moderation team.

Couple more things, this is the first site that I have ever posted a picture too and I got the biggest rush from seeing my work on the internet. In that same vein, I did not give up after my first failed attempt, I worked even harder to figure out what I did wrong and corrected the problem so it would work. Don't ever give up, unless you are on the Titanic.

I have also been following posts here at WF for years now and am so glad to have met so many like minded people who love this hobby.

My computer is very ,very slow to open posts,this is why I haven't been posting as often. I will always check in almost every night just to see who's on line. It's become a regular stop on the net surf I do nightly after work.

A huge thanks to all those who put the wattflyer in motion and keep it running.

At end of day ... its not quality of the forum - but the people who moderate it .. and those who contribute.

Another site I was one of the guys who set it up ... Small Boat Club ... we use Pro-Boards, not the best but the calibre of members and mods makes it one of the best small yacht forums on the web.

So Don and Mods ... YOU hang in there --- we all appreciate and are 101% behind you. Wattflyer is the best and shall not fail.

There are so many reasons why I tell folks that WF is THE place for electric flight, but it seems that they prefer the floodded crapola of other sites. I guess it is like family, if you love your family , you are happy at home. If you are a troubled person screaming for attention... well.... theres always RCU.
