I use the Krylon Matte Finish in a spray can, and I've ALWAYS had excellent results.
The secret is to put on a VERY light coat, let it dry, and then decide if you want to put on a second VERY light coat (or not).

Uhhhh -- would you believe me, if I told you I just received my TWO GWS P-40 Warhawk NPS White kits? :o
Naw... You wouldn't believe me... I'm going to have to take a picture of this to prove it to you...
The second invoice is a reprint of the first one -- so I think they only charged me once ($29.99)... Even if they charged me twice, I was kicking myself for not buying a second one at that price anyway...

Please share how you made the drop tank and awesome landing gear!

Ugh... Too many other projects... I haven't even started on the P-40(s) yet. :o

Lt Loughead
Thanks man
yes these are all GWS birds
the gear covers are Robart pieces and the gear doors are depron scraps
as for the drop tank it's a scale piece from vacuformed plastic (like the guillows stuff) I found at the LHS. The drop tank is held on with magnets and can be removeable
I used a great planes spinner and relocated the battery farther back into the canopy area to offset the wieght of the spinner...Cg is perfect now with no additional wieght added
sorry guys but no build thread as I just don't think I would be very good at doing them
I tend to do most of my building in the wee hours of the morning
Maybe I will do one on my 900 watt A-4?
Thanks man

UVM, very nice job on the GWS P-40s. So I take it from your handle that you work on helis or is it (AV-8) Harriers? Maybe even (V-22) Ospreys?
