Default Help. Can't set up another model on my dx6i.

Ugh. This is precisely why I stayed with my DX5e for so long.

Managed to assign a name to model one and reverse some throws. But can't for the life of me figure out how to get to the screen where you can set up another model.

I turn it on with the scroll wheel pushed down, scroll past model type to model name, click it and it says model 1 jn4 (which is my first model) but I want to set up model 2!

Stuck.

Cheers...

ps: Looked for a video and couldn't find help there.

Been over the manual five times. I know it's dumb and simple but I'm missing it.

Found the answer on another forum.

Poorly explained in the manual. I don't feel so dumb after all.

From the main screen( the one that appears when you turn on the tx without holding the wheel down) push down on the wheel once and release. That should take you to the model select screen. Turn the wheel to highlight model select and push the wheel down once. That will bring up which ever of the ten possible memory slots is currently loaded, using the scroll wheel will allow you to select a different memory slot. You can select an empty one and then go through the programming steps.
Once you have done it a few times it is amazing how much more helpful the manual becomes

Thanks for the considerate and detailed response.

And now that I'm on plane number four, your last line is truly prophetic.

IMO, so far anyway, there are no/none/not any truely useful TX manuals. They ALL suck.
Once you've cleared enough hurdles of concept and information they start to become more approachable, but still not very helpful. Seems they are all written by old out of work DOS manual writers. (does that age me?)

Hobby jumper - you didn't say the manual confused you so I presumed you had not looked. I hate manuals because so many of them seem to think that I have a strong electronic/mechanical/whatever background ... and I don't. BUT, however, the DX6i manual seems pretty straightforward to me. Maybe just lucky this time.
