Lithium Ion batteries and Lithium Ion Polymer batteries are nearly identical. The chemistry is slightly different due to our very high discharge rates. The net effect of this is that a Lithium Ion charge on a modern 20C Lithium Polymer battery will often only charge it 90-95% of capacity, to a resting voltage of 4.13-4.20v/cell. LiPo chemistry is usually 4.235v/cell @ 100% charge.

Basically, it will get you close enough. When planning discharge on your battery, though, plan on only a 75% discharge maximum to be on the safe side.

Note: This varies by charger, too, and I do not have direct knowledge of the Esky charger. But if it's a "Li-Ion" charger, it will charge Lipos just fine, just be aware it may not be a 100% charge.

Hmm, you made me go in for a closer look.

My E-Sky charger is EC103A and it says "Li-Ion Polymer"

Its been doing a good job though - seems to give full charge on my TP 1320 packs and they read 12.6V when done.

..........hmm "seem" the word seem is a relative term. Your seemingly full charge might be even 'fuller' with a lipo charger

no it would not overcharge, if you have a lipo charger your battery will have slightly longer flight times.
