Default Glider FPV is easy....

Over the winter while servicing all my planes/gliders, I found my interest in FPV could easily be incorporated into some of my gliders. Since FPV components have entered the realm of micro, installing a system can be done & still not add any significant weight. Looking at my ROC Hobby 2.2m V-Tail, I could see the cockpit & canopy could be modified easily with plenty of room for the pan mount/camera & battery installed into one unit. I chose the Eachine TX03 cam & mounted it on a servo pan mount. Since the bottom of the cockpit was a nice size/thickness, a Turnigy 1S/2000mah battery would fit perfectly. I had to add (2) 1/4oz weights to the rear of the fuse for my CG to remain the same. Pics attached.

Nice one Denny. I have been playing with FPV in a Teksumo but may transfer it to one of my gliders as I have Bigaoles fitted to them with RTH. Probably use my Phoenix as it has Radian wings and flies extremely well. It certainly gives a new perspective on things...

How about an update? What gliders are you now flying FPV?

Hi Allan,
Since Ma Nature has really been fickle here in SW PA with crazy conditions & poor flying weather, home/shop projects, & family issues, my flying has been quite limited, although now improving a bit. I haven't done the FPV "maiden" with the ROC Hobby V-Tail glider yet, but looks like shortly I'll get it in the air along with my new Volantex Ranger 2000 that I've also equipped with the same FPV setup. I'll get them both out on the same day & pics taken. I will update this thread with results. Pics attached of the Ranger2000. I'm contemplating doing my PZ Radian also.

Denny

For some reason, this site won't let me upload my pics. Keep getting the message: "Invalid files". I didn't have any issues uploading before. This site is getting worse everytime I use it.

I had the same issue yesterday with JPG files I loaded the pics to RCG and used RCG as a host.

Reported the photo issues to IB once again. We've been complaining about it for a while now. Sorry guys!
