Plane choice
#1

Howdy. I'm close to get one of these: Parkzone sports cub or Apprentice mini or the Drua fly Tundra. As new pilot some say the Apprentice is the better choice but like the Sports cub a lot. Either choice, can i use the same lipos 2200mha 3s in both planes? I also heard about the Sports cub that some put a better prop on and an 30A brushed ECS for better performance? So please recommend lipos that would fit both planes. Then again the Tundra seems more powerful with the 40 amp ECS.

If new to RC flight .... then :
High Wing
Some dihedral as well as ailerons
Models such as Apprentice are recc'd ...... basically anything that's boxlike Cessna with preferably flat bottom wing - Clark Y.
Note that in terms of LiPo ..... the common LiPo's that many end up with are 3S from 1200 up to 2250 size. They are so common for models. So don't be too concerned if you end up with others in that range. As you progress and get more models -I am sure you will use them.

Some well-structured reading for rainy/windy days, and some handy e-tools as well. Will save you, and us

E-flight primer and tools
.
And pleasepleaseplease, do your RC equipment, wallet, ego, battery, controller, motor, house/garage/car a big favour ... get a watt-meter. It will more than pay for itself, will save you at least one fried motor and one fried controller. Will also help you finding optimal setup.
.
Without a watt-meter you are in the dark. Until something starts to glow

Very versatile, and (now) dirtcheap:
close out sale Hyperion Emeter II - RCG, with optical and electrical tach, servo tester, local&remote logging.
