A little cold a the field today but a die hard group was out after we finally got the rangers to open the gate for us. It was still snow covered and in this part of the country some people in charge make some silly decisions. They said it was too slippery and dangerous so they were not going to open the park... our road is flat, and gravel covered... after a bit of convincing we finally got them to open up the road.
We had a nice calm day for flying and we took full advantage of that. We also had a very nice hot dog lunch courtesy of Rusty. Thanks for that one Bud! And we kept the grill going after that with some firewood to thaw out our hands after each flight.
We had three Cubs in the air at once for some pretty cool action and even had a control line up a couple of times. It is now a proven fact that that Phil Goodwin can fly anything...
All in all a great day at the field!

You're tougher than me Bill.
Here in the windy (cold, snow covered, icey) city, I hereby declare that I have invented the "building season". This is when sensible people who spent hours of spare time designing new models in the summer, when it rained etc, build said new designs!
If the Ozzies start sending pics of their summer, just ignore them
