WattFlyer Goes Mobile
#76

Maybe you could add a couple of checkbox options at the top of the initial page when your mobile autodetect kicks into gear? Put the user right up front and center and let them pick at that time with a quick little "this can be changed at any time by doing ____" explanation below it? Once the choice is made, that section of the page goes away?
To access these, simply browse Wattflyer.com with your mobile and at the bottom of the page choose your theme. Theoretically, a cookie should be placed in your mobile browser to connect to this theme anytime you access it via your mobile.

The Iphone optimized mobile theme has it's own subdomain now.
Ipod/Iphone users can visit either the main forum or http://iphone.wattflyer.com/

What happenned? My "Webby" isn't being redirected any more (and the quoted text is all covered over with, yes, quotation marks),
I tried the drop down, but it doesn't do anything. Is there a URL I can type in that will lead me directly to the mobile site?

Thanx. May I assume the other's are similar (Just in case "iphone" doesn't work as well, I don't know which one was autoselected)?

The Iphone theme carries that address. I do not have the others setup with a subdomain. So the mobile style needs to be choosen via the quick chooser at the bottom of the page (it can be found on any page)

I am working on a few options. For now I have disabled the autodetect. There are three mobile themes that can be choosen from. Iphone Mobile, Mobile1 (original theme) and Mobile 2 (newest theme which is the slimmest of all).
To access these, simply browse Wattflyer.com with your mobile and at the bottom of the page choose your theme. Theoretically, a cookie should be placed in your mobile browser to connect to this theme anytime you access it via your mobile.

I can get this to work, basically my phone runs out of memory when trying to load the full website so I can never get to the box to select the mobile theme.
Would it be possible to have a specific subdomain for the mobile theme?

Too bad you guys never gave me a shot at joining the dev team...
One of my specialties is mobile web design.
Here's a project I've been working on: (work on just about everything except IE, works great on safari and opera mobile...even the upcoming Firefox Mobile)
http://flickfriendly.com/
*And it doesn't require use of flash
