Default OhioCombat is now NewBreedrc.com

After a leave of absence we are back. Our site is in the works and has some content. As of right now limited quantities of the 42in Sledge and 32in Guillotine are available. Both are capable of 150mph and offer a stable no tip stall design.
They both include similar hardware to ensure limited drag as well as carbon suited for the maximum capabilities these wings have to offer.

Sledge: $59.00 +sh (retail $79.99)
Guillotine: $49.00 +sh (retail $69.99)

Hey Jeremy,
I've been wanting to pick up one of your wings for a while. Glad you have a site up now. All I need is the set aside some money...

What's the minimum size field you'd need to fly one of these wings? It seems like they can get away from you pretty fast.

Aero K,
I didn't post this video as I was not sure if the youtube videos would be displayed as on other sites. This customer is flying a Sledgehammer with a pretty hot setup in a small space. It really depends on what the AUW ends up being. A 28oz build using light building techniques will glide forever require very little power to fly. This really is not much different then most other builds. We have similar results on high wing loadings.
Any Idea what power system you are looking at using?

Not sure about power systems. I haven't though about it any more than "I want one of those". My flying field is a little bigger than a football field, some something light most likely.

You can manage the Sledge in a small space so long as your speeds are within reason.
A 1200watt Sledge will eat up 75 yds a sec. My first hit and run tree was in an overflow soccer field and over shot a turn just enough to hit.Took about an Hr to fix and is actually the wing pictured in my avatar recovered.

For slower speeds a HET 4t and a 6x4 on 3s will get you about 70mph and be pretty quite in flight. If you decide to go a little faster just as a 4s pack and go 118 -120 using the same motor/prop.

On 3s and that prop i will draw about 25a (about 30 oz AUW 10mph stall)
on 4s its about 40A (about 45 oz AUW 12mph stall)

Ether way the Sledge has about 460sqin (3 sqft)of wing area.

When your ready I can pm you the payment info. I use PP. Just another thing to add is that I will be available to help in any way I can if you need during the build. The glassing techniques vary depending on application and I can help you get things done much quicker once you have a power system .I always encourage people to plan ahead when building and make room for bigger go fast equipment just in case.

Jeremy
