Default Am I only one who finds LiPo's ????

Now before I tell the tale ... let me first say - that I am not usually absent-minded or ignore LiPo use guidelines. I may not use ammo boxes and flower pots - but I am conscious of their destructive capability.

OK ... that said :

Yesterday - I decided to try and find out why my GuanLi Catalina cannot take off from grass. The modifications etc. are subject of another thread.

Anyway - I pick up the model and do the biz etc. On opening up the hatch ... BLIMEY !! There's one of my 3S 2200 Blue TGY LiPo's in there. I checked my YT and last flight was : 27 May 2017 !!

Metered the pack ... 0.15 0.08 .... 0.08 ohms on the cells ... 3.78V average across them.

That's 2 years sitting unknown ..... fingers crossed it still delivers !!

No you are not the only one.
I must confess I have found a battery in one of my planes, but I am not organized enough to keep a log of flights, so I don't know how long it was in there.

I only know the date because I video nearly all flights since the advent of the mini digicam.

The proof of the LiPo will be saturday probably ...

Easy to do.
You must have plenty of LiPos LOL
I look at my battery box and say to myself... Hmmmm I thought I had more than that so I go looking in my planes. A couple of times I have found some but I fly regularly so no long term lost batteries.

I have boxes of the things ... in fact I have Ice Cream containers under the charger bench with different size per container....

I must admit I was always wondering why I was short on 2200 3S ... !!

I had almost the same issue years ago, and the change of batteries helped.
