Question D5Xe and RX's

I have a DX7 and ready to get a Parkzone RTF model that comes with a D5Xe Tx and Ar500 RX. Can both TX's be set up with a buddy cord?

Also what other RX's would be compatible with the D5xe TX. I know that only one model can be programmed with the D5xe but he package deal is great as The TX is almost free with the Radian RTF version.

Any help would be appreciated.

In theory you should be able to buddy the DX7 and the DX5e. As for whether it really works I can't say.

You can use any DSM2 receiver with the DX5e. This includes the AR6100(e), AR6200, AR6300, AR7000 etc...

Just be aware you won't be able to use channel 6 or higher. I do not know if the 5e is compatible with the AR6000.

Now, what's even better is you an bind your DX7 to that Radian and fly with that instead of the DX5e.

Call Horizon and ask them about using the DX5e as the buddy box.

Try 877-504-0233 for product support.

Smile Horizon Info

I called Horizon about the DX5e and DX7 . Yes The DX5e can be used as a buddy box with the DX7.
The DX5e can be used with all the Spektrum RX's incliding the AR6000 but the AR6000 may require some additional binding steps. On the AR500, it is only a 5 channel receiver with two aileron slots but the two aileron slots are hooked up internally as a Y connection that only saves using an external Y connector.

The DX5e is powered by 4 AA batteries that can be replaced by any AA rechargeable Ni-MH batteries.

The Parkzone RTF verion of their new Radian glider comes with the DX5e,AR500 RX, Charger and 3S1300 mah Lipo for only $90.00 more than the ARF version so this is a great package.
