Default Where to buy outrunner cooling fan?

Does anyone know where to begins searching for centrifugal or axial cooling fans for outrunners? Google doesn't seem to turn up much except for motors that already come with cooling fans.

I'm searching for a fan for a Hyperion ZS3025 similar to the attached photo.

Default Pulso Cooler

I am a dealer for Pulso, however I currently do not have any. Have a look at the link below. You can also find then on my website. You can look at what motor serries they fit & see if that is the same as your Hyperion ZS3025. If you have difficulty with the fit let me know & I will be glad to recommend one.

Good luck & stay cool!

Bah! So close! Down to the three screw mount. But it appears that the PUlso cooling fans have sloped fins to mesh perfectly with the sloped rear of the can. THe Hyperion can is flat.

DKNguyen,

I did a quick search on your Hyperion ZS3025, never found the shaft size. Is it a 5mm or 4mm? Sharp eyes you have, yes the blades are tapered. Down to the three screw mount. Almost exact, but improved.

Let me inquire with the factory what the current status of these are. Good thing with these is, all the small parts are extreamly affordable from Pulso. I give them away for free included with every motor; "X" & Radial mounts.

The fans were just coming before I ordered. Depending on your timeline, something could be arranged. Let me know.

Take care,
Doug

The shaft is 5mm. I don't have a timeline really. Not in a rush for anything. I don't think the fans can be tapered though. They're tapered to make a nice seal around the sloped rear of the Pulso cans. The Hyperions don't have that so it would have large gaps between the case and fan blades.

Well looks like those won't work with the Hyperion. Larry1325 had some links. Hope those will work out for you! It's times like this that I like to head over to the mill & lathe and make my own!

Sorry I could not help out with that fan. Well good luck & take care.

I have made several centrifugal cooling fans for outrunners, using hand-tools only.

Material used was .010" aluminium. [.010" tinplate would be OK]

They work well, and can be made in about 15 minutes.
