Default some more Prop adaptor help.. "PLEASE Ignore"

SOLVED!

Hello all,

After looking more carefully on my motor i find out it has a prop adaptor already installed!!!

now how the hell do i unscrew it? its like a chinese puzzel and i don't want to damage the motor or shaft?

i have exactly this set up (except its all screwed in) with a prop i dont want sandwhiched in the middle?!

Thanks for the help.. i have a feeling as i start my build i'm going to need lots more of it!

Stick a small screw diver though the small hole on the front and hold the round part behind it then turn to unscrew, it clamps down on the shaft by compression and will release when you unscrew the front hub,,, bubsteve

I agree with stevecooper, I sometimes find it helps to hold on to the base of the prop adaptor with a long nosed pliars. If you then have the spinner and prop off but the base of the adator does not want to come loose I use a broad screwdriver to release the cover from the collet. Hope it works

Hello Fulanito -

Be sure to put some sort of lubricant on those threads that is thick, lots of solids. I like the plumber's teflon (not tape) crayon. Nothing works better. Never mind the purple thing...
