Question What plane to this configuration? (AXI2820/12, 11.1v 1700mAh Battery, Jeti ECO25 esc)

Hey Guys,

I'm just curious what plane would you recommend for this configuration:
Motor: AXI2820/12
Battery: 11.1v 1700mAh
ESC: Jeti ECO 25

It was in my first trainer, but was too powerful, and was not really goor it, as the foam material was weak...(yes, it teared off the nose, even after reinforcing, and I don't want to re-try it and damage the equipment).

So now I'm looking for some plane I could fly with this equipment if possible.

Any ideas are appretiated!

Greeting, neu

Wow,, theres only a zillion planes that will use that power...

Hyperion Cap 232
Hyperion Sukhoi Su 32
AirfoilZ Edge, Yak or Mobius
And nearly all of the Alfa models...

What planes are YOU interested in?

Well, the list is:

I'm looking for something scale like (as more close to reality as possible).
- It sohuld be not too hard to fly, as I don't have huge experience yet. Probably I wouldn't break any normal RC plane at first flight, but it's better to be on the safe side, I proceed step by step
- I prefer landing gear landing rather than belly landing
- Pre-made stable motormount is a must, as I have bad memories of flying motors and noses (without the plane ).
- The candidate should be between 1kg and 2kg prefferrably, and about a winspan between 1200-1800mm.

Probably I made the list much shorter by this What Alpha you think is suitable for example?

Greetings, neu
ps: you wanted to write Su-31 right?

Huh ? That motor weighs 5.3oz and is suitable to fly a plane in the 2 1/2 to 4 pound weight class. Did you misread which Axi he has?

I would have to agree with Gerald. That is for a bigger plane. But I worry that if you run that motor to it's potential, the ESC and battery may be to small. It is recommended you use a 40 AMP ESC with that motor.

Sorry, I was going to recommend the new Hyperion SU-31 25e, as it should work nicely with that motor, but seeing your second post, you are probably not ready for it as yet.

How about the Bonnie 20, from Hobby-Lobby:

It is more of an advanced trainer. Se the Sport Aviator review:

The SU-31 seems to be fine, and I like this plane, but I think I'm not skilled enough for this. Probably I wouldn't crash it, but I'd like to have time to enjoy it before I do some dealy failures

The bonnie was drawing my attention too, it's on my list. Seems to be something I need now, an Advanced trainer (and all my stuff fits to it, except the ESC wich I should upgrade anyway as I see)

Any firther ideas are appreciated!
