You do know, of course that ALL balsa products originate overseas don't you?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balsa_(tree)

The tree does not grow in the US.

The list is updated. My next task will be to break them down into categories as some are balsa kits, some foam, some jets, etc. And if you see that I am missing someone please let me know.

Wow,
what an eye opening list Frank. You are always on top of stuff.
I noticed Dumas models. In the olden days were they Veco models and engines? I have owned some Veco products including a couple of Veco .45's. Oh, and a Chief CL plane I believe.

Thanks for all of your effort.

Thanks Bruce I try.

What surprised me, as well as saddens me is there are very few electronics and motors made in the USA.

Categories created for those links in post one. That sure took a long time.

If you are not familiar with some of those sites you should check them out.

JTech Laser makes the 1MORStick. I think that is the only kit they offer but they are also a laser cutting service.

List has been updated.

I don't think there ever has been a list made of all the companies in the USA that make RC products. I am amazed how many there actually are. You gotta click on some of those links and check them out. Great stuff!

You're welcome Larry and I think so too. Lots of good info that will get lost once it goes past page 1.

Bruce, Me too. I know there are some more out there, it will just take time for folks to find this thread and post what they know.

Tom, I have LADO and a couple of other retract makers under the "Other" category. I didn't know where else to put them.

Please let me know if there are some missing.

So how do you get a thread made into a sticky?

Do you report it and get a mods attention and ask that way?

Added a couple foam plane makers. That's gotta be all the RC vendors in the USA.

Bet you can't find anymore.

Frank

PS I'm kinda sad so few electronic and motor builders here in the USA. (More than I knew of when I started though.)

PPS Thanks for looking into making it a sticky.

How about 3D foamies from fancyfoam.com in Arkansas City, Kansas? Saw these fly at the E-Fly Spectacular in Wichita Kansas.
