Heads up RC is an Ebay store that sells power systems and I think Jeff is the owner. I have purchased several servos, motors and speed controls and find the price and quality to be good. Never had a problem with his stuff. Also for those of us who don't like to spend a lot of time taking measurements and crunching data; Heads Up provides performance data for the motors with an extensive list of different props and 2S/3S batteries. Check it out http://stores.ebay.com/Heads-Up-RC_W...3aFQ3aSTQQtZkm

Heads-Up-RC is a very good source for brushless motors and speed controllers, Lipo batteries, and servos. As Michael said, they provide a lot of performance data to help you decide what power train to buy. I bought a number of items from them and have not been disappointed.

No complaints about Headsuprc here. The 2.00 shipping on any ORDER makes the deal even more worth it. The times I've ordered on a monday, I've received it by thursday/friday that week. The one time I had an issue (wrong size prop adaptor sent) Jeff quickly and with no questions asked had a new one on the way. As soon as IM seeing more of my money, he'll be seeing more of it again!

I'll put down another vote for HeadsUpRC.com. Jeff's a stand-up merchant who will always deliver exactly what you ordered on time and not gouge you on shipping.

I'll put in another thumbs up for Jeff and Heads Up RC. Shipping at $2.00 per ORDER can't be beat. I hope he stays around a long time.

I live in canada, so I'm pretty sure Heads-Up doesnt ship here. Still, I go to their site just for the information on their motors. For each motor, there is specs for various props, and he tells you what motor/prop combos are good for different planes. Invaluable information I'd say.

aero, it might be worthwhile to ask Jeff how much shipping to Canada would be. Might even surprise you. His service is the best on the 'Net.

I keep meaning to, but never got around to it. The prices at Hobby City keep sucking me in... I would really like to support him though since he really puts a lot of work into what he does.
I'll look into it....

YEah, the prices at HobbyCity are attractive, but their shipping is pretty expensive. It also can become a nightmare if you ever have something go wrong with your order ... their customer-service is non-existent.

Jeff on the other hand always answers his email within hours and will make sure your concerns are handled quickly and fairly ... of this I have first-hand knowledge after one of the TowerPro motors I bought from him let the smoke out.

HURC is just great!

Just bought a ton of stuff from Jeff and I was missing an ESC.

E-mailed him, he checked his inventory, apologized and sent me a ESC with a prop-saver no charge for my trouble.

He even shipped my order before my personal check cleared.

HURC is now always on the top of my short-list of vendors.

Absolutely should be top 'o the list go to guy.....
I had some difficulty when first starting out last Jan, no knowing the in's and out's of lipoly batts and their charging wants, lot's of "hand holding" from Jeff to walk me through all that was needed and I guess it musta worked 'cause none of my batteries has had it's "magic smoke" pulled yet! hehe
Seems like I am placing an order every week from him, always somethin I need.

BTW.....I put in my first order with Hobby City, a LM batt and some Dean's plugs. I made sure my parts were all in stock (they had 100+ batts and more than that of Dean's) and I STILL got bumped and am waiting 3wks now 'cause my batt quanity was listed wrong! Just shoulda called Jeff.
Beware, what it says they have in stock is not ness correct.

best wishes,
Ray

Thumbs up

Another plug for Head-Up. Iíve spent in excess $500 through his store for Slow Stick motors, ESCs, batteries, servos, prop savers, etc, in the last 5 months for my planes alone. Friends and family planes close the same in the same time frame and every time, his customer service is PERFECT, shipping is RIGHT NOW, and his shipping rates are UNBEATABLE! $2 shipping regardless if you order one item or 100 items!!!!

Actually believe it or not, for a Canadian, it is the same or cheaper to ship something from hobby city than from the US or farther away parts of Canada.

On the other hand, maybe it's too early to say but I made my first order from hobby city last week and am disappointed.

I paid by echeque but everything is still listed as unreserved and some of the items have gone out of stock.

I could call and complain but I wouldn't expect much from them.

With a feedback of 100% positive I don't think Jeff needs to toot his own horn.

I contacted Jeff about shipping to Canada. Unfortunately getting things over the border can be a real hassle due to customs, so he stopped shipping to Canada. Well, I guess I'll have to pay him back for all the great info on his site by referring others to HEads-Up as often as I can.
