The motor on my Apprentice S is making a little grinding noise. I am guessing something was damaged that last crash
I see that Heads Up RC offers a
Power Up 25 Speed 1100kv Outrunner Brushless Motor
and a metal adapter for the Apprentice.
Will my ESC be ok with this or?
Thanks

we run those in our hopped up PZ T-28s (100mph+) with 60 amp ESCs and 4S 3300mah batts. Suggest reinforcing wings if you are ham fisted like me.
if you can keep out of throttle you will be fine. 10x7 prop and even a 11x7 will work, 3S or 4S batteries. If your esc is big enough.

I'm with Waytooslow on the Powerup 25. Great motor . Good value. We have a ball with the PZ-T-28's. Makes it a rocket ship. You'll have plenty of reserve power for your apprentice. You can stay with 3S and use your existing esc. But when you start feeling the need for speed, change the esc out to a 50 or 60 amp and load in a 4S.
I've also routinely standardized on China Hobby Line(CHL) lipos. Great value. Free shipping on orders over $40.00, US warehouse, premium quality. But they come std with deans connectors so you'd need a two way adaptor plug for your blue EC3.
