Default Brought a girl into this wonderful hobby today

A friend at work asked me if I would teach his 14 year old daughter to fly. I said yes. I told him to buy the HobbyZone Super Cub RTF. I like this plane for teaching. After her first two flights went really well her dad hand launched the next flight she flew the whole flight and I talked her through the landing. I have never had someone pick this up as fast. She is very smooth on the sticks. We didn't use the ATC trainer system there was no need to.

We have a new flyer in this hobby and it happens to be a girl.

Not sure, don't have her yet. But no doubt if she follows Daddy's footprints.

Last weekend I demonstrated my HyperFlea to my 'great niece' (my niece's daughter) who just turned 4 and she was totally captivated by it. In fact she said something like "that is super cool" and has since been telling everyone about it who will listen. So I hope to some day have the great privilege of teaching her how to fly but I imagine it will be a few years...

Darn, couldn't you at least recruit one that was legal?

Seriously, though. Congrats, on you, as a teacher, and her. Keep us updated on her progress

I have a friend that got his daughter involved in this hobby when she was about 11. By the time she was about 13 she could out fly most of us. I have seen her do some amazing things with a plane too...
