LMAC facility contains a 50' X 600' Blacktop Runway, a 75' X 600' Grass Runway, 2- 160' Control Line circles (one is blacktop). There is also a 30’ X 40’ shelter structure, 4 covered pit areas, picnic tables, trash barrels, and a PortaPottie for the comfort of the members and visitors. The shelter now has electricity for charging your Lipos. Once inside the flying site a 2400' blacktop road leads from the Landfill road to the gravel parking area. There is a gate at Rockwell Road (the 1-64 service road), There is also a locked gate at the entrance to the Flying Site, and this gate is always locked & can only be accessed if you are an LMAC member.

What a nice field! Without a doubt the best runways I've ever had the priveledge of flying off of. Ray is top notch and will take good care of you if you're visiting.

Oh wow....what a site.

We were just down in Shelbyville, visiting my Father-in-law. If I had
known, I would have brought a plane along.

Next trip, I will know better!

Was out flying Friday. About 45 degrees with a very low ceiling but cooled off pretty quick.
The 42% in the pic's was originally a crashed plane.....well two planes actually. The owner picked it up for free and with some help got it all rebuilt. With a DA170 power plant and 30 inch Carbon fiber prop this plane climbed till it disappeared in the clouds. Was great fun but only got a couple flights in due to the fingers going numb with the cool breeze. (Ummm...I flew the little GP):o
