Who's got Flying Weather?
#1

I had flying weather this mourning so i decided to fly my Christen Eagle.
I put her up above the trees about 60 or 70 ft. and while circling the field a big bird of some kind darted right up to the plane and gave it a quick look and then darted away just as fast. Well anyway i had 2 nice lazy flights with her and 2 not so good landings.
So who else had flying weather this mourning?

It's been dead calm the last few evenings here... so, Air Hog action in the front yard waiting for supper!
Not so good today... drizzle T storms roaming around, windy... and thats all because I had the Rascal, the GWS A-10 and the Sky Scooters all charged and ready to go!!!
Maybe tomorrow

Monday started this week's trend, and it is expected to be carbon-copies thru Saturday at least; High in the mid 80's, mostly sunny, (hardly any clouds, in fact), with mostly easterly winds 5-10mph. For what more could anyone ask? Can't wait to go flying tonight!

Anyone need some water? We had tornado warnings and sirens going off Sunday evening along with a gentle shower that dropped almost 11" of rain in 24 hours. Monday, Sun came out for 1 hour then more rain. Yesterday, 2 1/4" more rain in 3 hours. We have had over 16" of rain this month and almost 13" of it was in the past 48 hours. Needless to say there is nothing dry here. Lots of flooding, highways closed, bridges out and mud everywhere. I've never had water under my house but spent all afternoon yesterday pumping 6" of water from my crawl space. Flying? What is this you speak of?

Ahh.....the eternal optimist! You're probably right Kev. Actually it is sunny right now. We'll see how long it lasts. I think it will be just enough to get the humidity up to 250% and help all the mosquito larvae hatch faster.

you could always branch into RC boats.....LOL
Talked to my mom, she's in Broken Arrow OK, and she was telling me the same sob story about all the rain.....<snicker> I thought of you as she mentioned it.

Another nice mourning to fly so took the UB out and put her up for a nice easy flight and good landing. The foam eating JackPines did not get a chance to grab her as i stayed far away from them.
This evening was still calm so i put the Christen Eagle up again and good flight with no curious Birds around.
Hope for more good calm weather in the mourning.

Grasshopper, The only way to really make that rain stop is to buy a set of floats....I can see you now sitting on your porch plane (with Floats) in hand saying come on RAIN!!!Guaranteed never to rain again.
