If someone could help, would be great.
I have a Futaba TM-10 FASST module, bought the Flytron adapter for the JR style connection and plugged it into my Taranis Plus. Set radio to External Module, PPM. 22.5-400. +.
The Flytron board does indeed have a white LED on it.
When the Futaba module with the Flytron board is plugged into the Taranis, power on Taranis, push the Exit button to turn off Taranis warnings, the Flyton LED illuminates. so power is getting to the Flytron at least.
No bind or connection to Futaba Rx.
Futaba Rx sits there with red LED on,
Pull out Futaba module & put it back in Futaba 10C, power it on.
Futaba Rx LED turns green and happily reponds without need to rebind to module.
Pulled out module and back into Taranis = nothing. Red LED on RX.
Any suggestions?
I can't believe I'm the first one on the planet who bought a Flytron board and plugged a Futaba module in a Taranis.
I've had the Taranis for 3 months and still can't get it to work. It's probably the best radio I'll never be able to fly with.
Anyone know how to get the radio to use the Futaba module?
Please help,
Doc

Don't you have to tell radio what Module to use ? The Taranis I believe has already FrSky built in and any external additional module plugged in has to be activated ?

I did a little digging - and - there seems to be a problem using a FASST module with the Flytron board in a Taranis. From what I've read only some of the 72mhz modules will work, but the FASST 2.4 modfules do not work.
As I read it the "inverter" on the board is not needed and is what causes the module not to work. There are a lot of threads on this very subject over on the "other" forum - RCG.
I have a Futaba 9c (actually a couple of them) that I use for connecting my Dragonlink LRS to, and a FrSky module in the other one for my other models (non FPV or short range - under 2k FPV.)
From what I understand Futaba has never made a module that is/was compatible with any other radio system - well other than Hitec that is, so trying to adapt a Futaba module to work in the Taranis or a Jr or Spektrum system takes some doing - especially the FASST modules.
Wish I could be more help and hope you get it worked out.

Hi Hillbillie,
Thank you for doing some research on that. If you were local to me I would buy you lunch
I searched a long time for some info and found nothing.
Would you mind posting a link to a couple of the "other group" threads or PMing me them if posting is inappropriate?
If I new which pins were which on the Futaba module as well as the Taranis external module socket pins, I could try connecting directly without the Flyton board.
Isn't there only 3 wires: + , - , signal?
If I connected them, I can change the other parameters in the Taranis, can't I?
What do you think?
Thanks,
Doc

Success!!!
I purchased a Futaba TM-7 module, plugged it into the Flytron adapter board and used the settings as described earlier in this thread (22.5ms, 350u +) and my Rx bound as normal.
I must give credit to PilotPete2 from RC Groups who told me why the TM-10 module won't bind but why the TM-7, and TM-8 modules will bind. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...3#post30675177
Scott Page also has a page on RC Groups showing his settings.
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...ostcount=31614. He did not happen to mention that the TM-10 module will NOT bind.
Wahoo!
