Default Making the best of a bad situation

Friends drove from New Hampshire to here in SC to attend Joe Nall. As some of you may know, Joe Nall was cancelled due to the threat of some horrendous weather.

Today, I took them up to the club (Campobello Flyers) field. No rain, a light breeze down the runway, and no one else there. We had the field to ourselves all day, and got in quite a few flights (I was even able to *finally* maiden the Avenger, which, I'm happy to report, flies beautifully, and looks great in the air!)

Came home just in time to pull the three racks of ribs out of the smoker (they had been cooking all day.) My wife had made up corn bread, skillet baked mac'n'cheese, corn on the cob, and potato salad for sides. Home made key lime pie and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Add in a few ice cold adult beverages, and nobody left the table hungry.

Joe Nall? We don't need no stinkin' Joe Nall to have a good time!

What goes up, must come down. The trick is to keep it in one piece.

Yup, my friends and I have been at the club field all day again. Started out a bit overcast, sun came out late morning and it's been a great day.
