Lightbulb New Scratchbuilt Foamies Forum

I posted a thread on this subject and had a few replies. I finally figured out how to create a poll. So please vote.

Default split

The concept behind splitting up a section of a forum is due to it's combined volume and having to break it up for ease of navigation, I don't think the foamie section is all that large in my opinion, so it's going to remain one spot until a later date when it's saturated enough. That's pretty much how forums grow in categories.

What are you flying btw?

Currently I have a Multiplex Micro Jet with a Mega 4 turn, a self besigned plane titled the Retro Racer, another scratcher called the Rebel (planes from RCG) I have a couple GWS kits I need to finish and start..P38 and F4U corsair. I'm waiting to purchase a 4s lipo for a C47 (Polks Hobby). I have yet to maiden my 72" SB, Simple Fokker (another RCG plane). Currently building a 36"ws Hansa S5A floatplane. Trying to get a little scalish on it. I spend most of my time Scratchbuilding, as I get more enjoyment out of building then flying...but to much. I wanting to go bigger w/ my planes, I have a .46 Decathlon I'm going to convert sometime.

Default building

We are birds of a feather in the building area, I too enjoy the process far too much, there is only so much you can do in the air, but the build table is unlimited.

Those microjets are fun, your's looks like it's in alot better shape then mine, I picked mine up wayyy to early on in my flight skill level, needless to say, it became a lawn dart quickly, I didn't even have mixing on my radio, hehe. After upgrading it to some inexpensive brushless and lipo gear, wow, that thing is fast, and being so small, can get out of visual orientation range quickly. It's a testiment to RC plane design and shows that a properly designed plane can outperform with cheaper gear then one set up for slower flight's regardless of how high end of a set up you are going with.

There seems to be far too many threads in the existing single forum to effectively search for an item, so I think splitting the forum would help.

Glad to see that there are so many out there that agree with this. I may help some having a mod on board as well. Thanks Kosh!

Well the poll is now closed the results are in. 90% of those who voted think this is a good idea. Now its just up to the mods to discuss and let us know the outcome. Thanks to all who voted!

Default Not enough

That's not enough of a poll to base anything upon, anyway you can get the mods to re-open it for more input over a longer period of time? The numbers need to be much larger to make any kind of a decision off of.

I agree with you SG, I was just saying that 90% of voters. Not of members, even if the mods would open thepoll agin and allowed more time, I don't think many would vote. Maybe its just me. Oh well if theres no split its no biggy. I still like this site better then the others. Much friendlier and actually like having fun.
