Like that Classic...pretty nice in a "Slash-ey" sort of way. I had a Goldtop Classic...beautiful guitar, pickups were WAY too hot for my liking. RIGHT after I got rid of it a friend of mine had 3 original PAF humbuckers out of a 1964 SG Custom He said I could HAVE, at which point I kicked myself for selling the Gibson...

You should come fly as a guest at our field sometime this spring, I think we would have a lot to talk about.

Actually in the process of building my own set neck Lester, got the husk from Ohio, an outfit online called Bulldog, has a real nice maple top, grains exactly like a baseball bat type of grain, and the flame in the wood jumps out at you when you get it wet, gonna do some kind of burst to the top with a gunstock walnut color for the back, opencoils from Manlius in N.Y. State, Orange caps, vintage wiring, none of that coil split stuff, wanted to do a hot rod '54, but the guy drilled tail holes too despite being told not to, but whatever, still gonna be nice...

I have some snaps somewhere of the still unfinished guitar...haven't even got the neck epoxied yet. Yup, epoxy, techy says epoxy is a lot stronger than Titebond for that sort of thing...I'll post 'em up, think I have some stuff at Picturetrail...

Here's the husk with the ebony veneer dry-fitted to the peghead, neck dry-fitted, with everything going on lately, that's as far as I got with it, although I have everything except colors to complete the guitar...
