I *used* to be from just outside New Britain, didn't fly then, but the club near Thomaston Dam (off-road riding area) was pretty active.

Come to think of it, flying off the dam would be pretty awesome, not often you get to fly below yourself.

I was born and raised in Stonington Ct., now across the "Muddy Pawcatuck" in Westerly R.I., former home of Guild Guitar, sadly now in California...

Born and raised in Torrington, but moved to MD after we married. My first RC plane was a Cessna L19 with rudder-only escapement, powered by an .049. I remember my brother amd me driving to the old Thomaston Dam road to test glide it in the tall grass. Good memories.

Yep...Guild is part of the Fender Family (along with DeArmond), has been for sometime. Either made in Corona, CA....Mesa, AZ.....or someplace outsourced to Mexico, Korea, China.

Thought "nutmeg" was Futball term for passing the ball through one's opponents legs.......
