Hi I would discuss about flying FPV mode
I hope the weather became beter !
Is there anyone who like FPV flying ?
I would know what is the best way to record FPV video, last year I recorded with a Dazzle from pinacle and a PC but I think I'm loosing quality with this.
Do anyone have an idea about it ?

I use a Sony handycam DCR-TRV 350 Digital8. IMO It's the best you can get in DV quality and a lot more fluid in frame rates. None of the flash recorders, HD or USB captures devises come close. Got one on eBay for $150 and I won't use my other recorders for anytrhing but back-up now.

It really does look like amazing fun, and I guiltily enjoyed the video, but I'm pretty sure it's illegal. For an aircraft on an instrument plan it could be tragic, in a smoking-crater-on-the-front-page sort of way. Captain Sully can't be flying right seat in ALL of them...

a litle precision, in that day the clouds are very low and i climb only one hundred fifty meters perhaps if you good look the video you ll can see when I fly through the clouds to go down I arrive directly close the ground, sure that I don't want to go to the same altitude than true plane !

Think about it this way. If you are flying FPV you have a good plane and good equipment and lots of money involved. If you fly in the clouds at some point you will lose it and get disoriented so now you have thrown away your equipment for a pretty look at some clouds. Go up on a mountain and fly above the clouds and then land on the mountain or catch it. If you have a good camera with video in you can put your cable to it and receive the video on your ground camera I think.

Cool I like the OSD
. A must have if you fly in clouds or fog. Here we have to stay under 400' and where I live we get clouds that low so I've done it also but you spend all the time reading your OSD info so you can get home
. Im not sure what the rules are where your at but not all countries have all the rules and laws like the U.S. when it comes to RC so they may not applie to you. Have Fun and Be Safe.
Cool Video, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Crash9 ! Yes you're right it's not the same for all countries...
And in our country I don't belive we have so much true plane traffic like yours...
So I've seen lot of your videos on youtube and like it also !
