Default Digging the Eflite F4U-4 Corsair

I have now had this plane for almost a year and its fast becoming my favorite goto warbird in the hangar. Was also a good chance to try out the cyclops video glasses my wife gave me for Christmas.

Happy flying may your crashes be limited and if they are not limited let them be cool.

Nice video.
I am loving on mine as well. I run 4S on stock ESC and motor. Gives great vertical.
I see that you didn't land with the flaps. I love the flaps. Lands so nice and slow.
Do you Fear No Fish?

My biggest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my planes for what I told her I paid for them

Thanks Vic
I am running only 3s 2200. I have thought about replacing the ESC for 4s but just have not found it necessary. I have never been very successful using flaps on any of my planes and just prefer to use them for the WOW factor.

I drop mine on final and coast right to the runway. Doesn't act weird at all. A speck of up elevator 50' out and the tiniest bit of throttle over the runway and she sits right down.
My beaver would jump when you dropped the flaps and get stally at slow speeds but this guy brings no surprises. Aside from the slow speed you cant tell they're down.
You often see posts knocking "another corsair" but everyone at the field loves this plane. It always gets looks and comments.

Do you mean a speck of down elevator? Could be why I am having trouble with flaps I have always programmed a bit of down.
I get the same looks while flying this plane its definitely a looker.

When you drop the flaps it needs no input. Just flies slower.
I lower them on final and just land it like a normal plane, only in slow motion. Lol

A few weeks ago during one of my take off debacles I broke one of my retracts. I resigned to fly it fixed gear and dirty until i felt comfortable getting it off the ground. At 75 bucks a pair, i can't be replacing them often. Lol
Fixed them the other day and flew it yesterday. 5 nice take offs out of 6, and no crashes
I forgot how nice it flies with gear up, and got another minute out of the battery as well.
Not my most exciting, fastest, or most agile plane, but definitely has its place in the lineup for just being cool.
I think it might have to sit home next week though. I need to get my first ever plane the Sportsman out. Has been a while.
