Long story short, a plane was landed on a beach in Wales during WWII, got covered in sand, and only recently uncovered.
Glacier Girl, have you seen this yet?

Thank the Weazilla, she put me onto it.
They could always seal it somehow as it is, and put it on display like they have at Pensacola NAS.
There they have an exhibit of some planes recovered from Lake Michigan (I think it was that lake...) left in the corroded state, displayed as if still underwater. With shifting lights to represent how sunlight would be hitting after being deflected by waves.

They did not have that display then... I'd say a lot has changed since I was last there.

Yes they do, it's actually quite a nice little setup.
I have several shots on here somewhere, from that museum. In Hopper's P-47 thread, reference shots for the plane he was working on at the time.

Let me know, I'll give you the tour.
Just don't take the only set of keys to the car, leaving your wife stranded, and then not answer the phone when she tried desperately to call, and call, and call, and call, and call.....
not that THAT would ever happen.

Monkey stole the keys from my wife. SHe tried to call me, but he stole my phone also. I tell you what, if you do go down there, you need to wear a chain connected to all of your valuables, or he will take them.
My poor wife was left without her car.
Beware. I have a feeling FM will be back here to tell you everything is a lie and that I had the keys and my phone. I forgot which Space Ghost character said it, but "Never trust a monkey."
