Default Questions on charging DX7 and Lipo's.

Seeing as I am not rich I am having to buy things one at a time as finances allow. I bought a dx7 online from hobby city but it came with no charger. It was US spec charger that was of no use to me in Australia so they took it out of the box before they shipped( strange, I know). I have just received my swallow ac/dc charger and have set up a connector with reverse polarity to charge the NiMh battery in the Tx. It has been charging for 90 mins now and is at 11.725volts now. I have it set at 200mah. How long should this take to charge? Overnight? Now I have received my 2 lipos and plan on carging them at 1C. They are 3 cell 1800mah so I would set the charger to 1800mah right? Is this OK or should I go lower?

So much to learn and so little brain cells to do it with

for your TX, 200 mah is about right. YOu don't want to over do these....a slow charge is what they want. 12-14 hours is about right but you can just plug it in and leave it alone at that rate. A few extra hours won't hurt anything.

As for the LiPo's, you are correct....charge at 1800 mAh or 1.8 Amps....that or any rate lower is fine....DON'T go higher...that's dangerous. At 1.8Amps, it should take about an hour or so to fully charge them.
