I don't know if it works with G4, but it does a good job with FMS.

Having said that: there are 3 options I see available.
1. Get a new interlink controller. Hopefully a free replacement through the warranty program.
2. Find a way to repair your controller. The insides of it are just like any other middle-of-the-road analog controller out there. I know this from personal experience. I've repaired my RF G3.5 controller once already.
3. Leave your controller broken and plug a second controller into it via the cord provided. I fly with my DX-6 like this every day.

Let us know how it turns out.

The RealFlight software is proprietary to their controller. When you start the program if there's not a genuine RealFlight controller plugged in - it will NOT run.
