Well we had an interesting donation. a bunch and I mean a BUNCH of plastic eggs with Little prizes in them. Not great prized though... Bubba Teeth, stick eyeballs and slugs and stuff like that. All new never touched. I was thinking the eggs would be good for putting candy in for the drops. Either with or with out the other things left in them.

Watcha think?

Seems like we should be able to make some sort of use of them. They are pretty strong. I took one and threw it hard on the floor. Did not break or open.

So they should survive a drop I would think.

Maybe 2 paper towel rolls loaded with eggs and some kind of release mechanism...it would probably be heavy.

A box with a trap door would work. Or perhaps a hook with a rubber band stretched over the egg. And the other end of the rubber band looped over a servo arm. Then rotating the servo releasing one end of the rubber band.

May have found a solution. Check this link out. Need a bigger motor for this rig though.

The rig I saw at the Glue Dobbers was the Senior Telemaster and it would carry 1 pound of candy.

That is a lot of candy for a model to carry!
If anyone does rig a candy drop I think keeping it as simple as possible would work the best.

The eggs I have are bigger in diameter then a paper towel tube by a good bit. But of course if you are thinking of dropping candy loose not in these eggs that won't matter!

The eggs would pop apart when they hit the ground anyway. Just a plain candy drop would be the best. Wrapped candy so it does not get dirty.

You aint seen MY Eggs! Uhm... wait that doesn't sound good..... What I mean is these are really tough. I will try and remember to take one or two the aiirport and slam them on the pavement. So far throwing them as hard as I can on the floor does not do a thing to them.

Hey I already got them and for free....!

I just checked and the 15 day forecast now goes to the 25th. It shows Sunny Friday, Saturday and Sundy too. Not all that warm but sunny! If it is not windy then the sun should make it feel decently warm.

The BIG thing is it is not calling for rain at all!

Default T Shirt Update!!!!!!

****************Update to T-Shirt Deadline!*****************
I talked to the T-Shirt guy and the preorders with your choice of screen name or real name has to be moved up to the 14th. You can either send a POSTAL Money order or paypal $10.00 for each shirt stating the size and what you want on each one. This is to preorder them and get the $10.00 price.
Due to costs incurred with the art work the price at the Fly In will be $12.00.

You can also still send your landing fee at the same time as well as buy raffle tickets too. Landing fee is $10.00 and tickets are $1.00 each.

Here are a few pictures of the Stevens Aeromodel Squirt.
I still have some work to do. Add the electronics and some trim.
But here is how it looks so far.
