Default Assorted Clark Y airfoils PDF

The Clark Y airfoil in 12, 9, 7 and 5-inch chords. Make sure that when you print you print at 100%, else the measurements will be off.

Thanks, those can come in handy when designing a new plane.

I have and use AutoCAD 2000, what add on are you using to plot the airfoils?

I would like to draw a few airfoils I am interested in when I get the chance.

Hi, Dave,

No add-on, instead, I'm using the dwg files from the U of I here: http://www.ae.illinois.edu/m-selig/ads/coord_dwgFmt/ and then scaling them by reference to each size. I'm using acad 2013 academic to generate the pdf. The website has a huge selection and just need to be scaled. Big timesaver!

You said huge, but I wasn't ready for that many!!

Thanks, I think that will do every thing I need.
It is very easy to scale them to any chord width we would want.

There are dwg viewers for people that don't have a cad program, they may help a lot of modelers.

David Lednicer's site is a good site. I use these 2 pages often:
http://www.ae.illinois.edu/m-selig/ads/aircraft.html
http://www.ae.illinois.edu/m-selig/a..._database.html

Too bad worldofkrauss has not been up lately. That was a great site for finding similar section profiles, as well as simply finding profiles.

Thanks for the extras, Bill. What did world of krauss allow you to do that was different than uiuc's database?

They listed similar airfoils to any specific airfoil section that you were viewing. Useful for things such as when you have a section profile, but are not quite sure what it is and are attempting to track it down, or what similar airfoils you may be able to use.
