Default Re-engine DPCM Aerowerkes Pfalz DXll

I built this model in 2014 and was never happy with the flying characteristics of the plane because it was just too underpowered with that Flyzone motor. Comparing the Flyzone biplanes to the Eflite micro Stearman led me to believe that although both use 3.7V systems the Eflite motor is not only more robust than the jam-o-matic Flyzone one but is maybe twice as powerful. I had no problems fitting the Eflite motor in the Pfalz, just a bit of trimming of the mount was called for. Initial tests look promising now it may actually climb. The hardest part was stripping the teeny tiny wires to replace the Eflite male plug with a female one salvaged off of my many ruined Flyzone motors, as the radio in it is a Flyzone Tactic. When doing this you want to solder the white EFlite lead to the red Flyzone one and the black Eflite lead to the blue Flyzone one.

Any pics or flying video of this one? I've been thinking or ordering the Pfalz for a while now.

Mine flies but itís too heavy to fly well, I replaced the crummy Flyzone motor with the same one eflite puts in their Stearman.... did not help. Itís a
Box frame fuselage with quarter formers added to the box to support stringers, so itís a heavy design to start with then I made that center section out of 1/4Ē sheet balsa to give a nice belly contour. Basically if you build it try to lighten it. I had a few ok flights but nothing like my Pup which is still going over 140 flights!

Thanks it's a pretty model I like it but I wish it was less thrilling and more fun to fly....
