You may want to ask in the Helicopter forum.

as you're on your final approach you keep adding reversed inputs of whichever direction the heli is traveling. keeping the rotor disk level. do this until you're back in a hover then SLOWLY cut the throttle.... if you cut the throttle too fast you're going to suck the heli to the ground and end up having to pick up alot of pieces.... me personally i flare at the last moment much like an airplane. ya gotta find what works for you though

Hi Nafets.
WELCOME TO WATTFLYER! It's always great to see new faces.

Laggard is right. You might get better guru input if you post this same question in the Beginner Helis part of the forum.

I am somewhat of a beginner myself when it comes to Helis, but here's my $.02.
For me it's mostly in the throttle conttrol. Find your point on the throttle curve where you are barely climbing. Then back off a couple of notches. Obviously the little guy will sink pdq!
Then it's just minute fluctuations up and down on the throttle stick so she drops , settles, rises maybe a hair, then drops on down to the landing surface. My left thumb (throttle) is in constant motion.

Hope this helps you out.
