Default Spektrum AirWare Updates

The code for all the "G2" radios was released on Monday. An e-mail just went out telling about it, but it missed a few radios.

The complete list of affected radios is:

DX6e
DX6G2 SPM6700
DX6G3 SPM6750
DX7G2
DX8G2
DX9 (chrome or black)
DX10t
DX18
DX18QQ
DX18G2
DX18t
DX20

I'm putting this out on RCGroups, RCUniverse, and Wattflyer forums in their Radios sections. If you know of other language forums or appropriate places, feel free to get the word out.

Thanks.

Andy

Maybe I have missed something, but I am not sure what this means to us.
What do you mean by "The code for all the "G2" radios", is it a bad thing that it was released?
What effect would it have for the general RC flyer?
Would this make us subject to some kind of electronic hijacking?

It means there is an update for the Spektrum AirWare available on the Community site.

If you're not a Spektrum user it means nothing to you.

If you are a Spektrum user, it means you want to log into your account and download the update.

Upgrade installed on my DG18 G2 and working without issue. I also installed the latest voice file while i was at it. All existing model memories remain intact.

Ok thanks Andy, I have modified 9303 radio's, but I will alert my flying buddies that do not look on the computer for much of anything.

Updated my DX6G3 but forgot the voice file. Now I'll have to go and do it again grr Is it worth the hassle? I'm happy with the way it is really.

Panther, i think most of the changes to the voice file are alerts related to multirotor flyers. I did update but havent need for any of the new alerts.

You can update them in either order, or not. If you don't update the sound file, there will be a few things that you will ask it to speak but it will be silent.
