Default 6 cell 3d airframe?

So the 3dhs 71" slick currently is out of stock until after the peak of flying season. Can anyone suggest any other great 6 cell 3d airframes?

I am coming down from 100 cc and 150 cc gas so would like something that will fulfill my need for s big 3d plane, but run on clean electric power.

This is a BIG airplane, but IMHO is not 3D. It is a very nice flyer though, running on a HackerA60-16M motor, 12S2P A123 battery, and a 19X12 prop. Take a look:

One big problem with these larger models, if you don't have AC power available at your flying field, you need deep cycle batteries. And for this size model, likely a pair of 120 Ampere Hour deep cycle batteries in parallel.

Kyle, Thanks, but looking more for 3D. And yes, we have electric at our field.

Larry, Good suggestion. I have flown a friends 70" Extreme flight extra and it is a good flyer, but feels heavy on the wing and I am looking for something that feels more like a 100 cc ... Any other thoughts??

If you're looking for a 100 cc sized 3D electric model, be sure to use quality motors/ESC's and LiPos. IMHO, this is not the place to scrimp.

Can't go wrong with the $$$$ big Hackers, Castle Creations ESC's, and don't know about LiPos. (I fly A123 batteries, way to heavy for your application)

If your budget doesn't have a bottom, and also own a battery company, check out this Hacker A200 setup! The prop is something like a 36 or 38 incher.

The Extreme Flight and 3D hobby shop birds have the same wing loadings - if built to spec. Perhaps your friend used heavy equipment? Over powered it? These 3D birds dont like being heavy.

Im not sure what you mean about wanting it to feel like a 100CC model. No 70" bird will ever fly like a 100CC model. There is too much difference in size.

You might also try PA. Ive never flown one of their larger birds, but the smaller ones are excellent.
