Default Blade CP gunship (Blade CP with firecracker)

Here in canada it's victoria's day which is one of the two days of the year we're allowed to set off fireworks. Now obviously that means I got to take advantage of the opportunity.

Here's the Blade CP Gunship, standard blade cp, with blade pitch adjusted slightly + for better lifting capacity. The weight of the payload is 52g I've measured the blade lifting loads of 100g easily so this is no problem.

I've just changed the fibre glass blades picture there with woodies since they are slightly lighter, to optimize lifting once again.

Payload is an 8 shot roman candle (just think 8 hellfire missles). right now I'm just doing some preflight practice before the final event when it's dark.

I hope the thrust from the Roman Candle doesn't upset the flying of your heli!! I would think it would make the heli go out of control, but I'm sure you have already thought of that. Steve.

Nah.. just aim the candle toward the back and you'll have Turbo Boost!

the roman candle is suspended via rubber bands this is to cushion the effect of the sudden firing shock. Should give me enough time to recover between shots.

Well the results are in the heli flies fine with the roman candle and it looks very cool like an apache letting go of some hydra missles.

Youtube video link

Can't really see the heli but definetly can see the shots and the sound is unmistakable.

I guess now I should change what I fly from Blade CP to Blade CP Gunship :-)

My recommendation after this flight is to fly when there's a little more light out. Once the Blade CP starts firing your pupils can't compensate and you begin to become unable to see the heli. Losing orientation is a large concern.

If your going to build your own do NOT directly mount the roman candle to the frame, you can't see from the video but when the missles were firing there was a violent shake on the roman candle itself, the elastic bands method that I attached them managed to insulate most of the shock, however the heli was pushed back slightly if you watch the video until I compensated heavily.

Was alot of fun might go with a larger one next time (go from 8 to 12 maybe)...

I need a longer fuse though.

Maybe you could do a multiple "bottle rocket" launcher setup

**I saw in the video your cp got pushed back quite a bit. Reminded me of the destroyer ships firing off the deck guns
