I'm running a Hanger 9 Showtime 50 with a Hacker A50-16S with 16X12 APC-E prop, and 6S2P A123 cells. Mine came in at 7 1/2 pounds. No, you can't make a helicopter out of it, but it does fly very nicely, with a take off run of about 30-40 feet in grass. Loops, big and small, rolls, snap rolls, spins, inverted flight, it does it all very well. It pulls about 48 Amps at full power, running about 850 watts.

It flys in the mid 70 Mph range per "How fast is it" and will fly 7 minute flights with a combination of acrobatics and just flying around. That uses about 60% of the battery capacity. And, you can recharge those A123 cells in 15-20 minutes with a high powered charger. I've got two years flying on two sets of 6S2P A123 batteries in two different models, absolutely NO loss of performance of the batteries!

Didn't know that E-Flight has a 90 sized motor. If it has the same characteristics of the Hacker A50-16S, it should fly very nicely. You need to download a copy of Motocalc to determine what size battery, motor and propeller to use.

Again, that Showtime 50 is a very nice airplane, you'll like it!

FYI another member in the Milwaukee area put together a Showtime 90, with same setup I used in the Showtime 50. He's quite happy with it.

http://h1070313.hobbyshopnow.com/pro...prod=EFLM4090A From the web-page: You will need...
6S–8S Li-Po or 18-26 Ni-MH /Ni-Cd
16x8 to 18x8 electric props
85A High Voltage Brushless ESC

Here is a link for a Showtime with an E-flite Power 60 - with the E-flite Power 90 you'll need more cells, but you'll have humungous power! http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/a...article_id=830

Hey, good to hear, I've been wondering how it has been working out! How are those A123 cells doing? Mine are on their third flying season, and have the same exact performance as when brand new.

I'm looking at a 12S2P A123 pack with a Hacker A60-12L motor next year for a 70 inch wingspan model. Got the 12S2P cells all ready, direct from China, at $7.50 each. Take a look: http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57316

Got to keep flying, days are getting shorter!
