I believe this was the first radio control kit to have a fully symmetrical airfoil.
The construction is old school, very old school, but was the first plane to also reduce the incidence to almost zero.
My dad had one, we got two flights out of it. The total time in the air, about one minute.
It was a bit harder to fly RC back then.

And now for something completely different
If you were around when the dinosaurs roamed the earth you might remember this one. Comet Struct-O-Speed model Cub.
Pretty terrible kit, a promise for youngsters to be able to just glue it together and fly, yea right.
I liked the Monogram Speedy Built kits better.
Anyway now that you're older, why don't you try one in your off time.

I got the word a few days ago that Paul Dinoto (PD1) passed away July 26th after a long illness. Paul attended the Octoberfest VRCS event a few years ago. He was a good builder, pilot and great guy to talk about all things vintage RC. He will be missed.
