Is the new store in the same location as the previous store. I have been to the previous store while on vacation and spoke to you. I am sure you remember me.

Yep, same location. We've moved around some offices and remodeled a nice space for the Hobby Shop back upstairs. It's a really nice space and has room for a ton more products than before. We're calling it a "real" hobby shop this time. It's almost finished and I'll be posting photos once complete. If you can make it this way again sometime it will be worth while to stop by and check it out.
Thanks,
Jason Cole

Hobby Lobby and business
Maybe all the work on moving is why they won't answer their order line nor respond to vmails left there...?

The HL store in Victoria, TX. isn't worth going to if your looking for most anything RC. The balsa selection is The Worst I've ever seen anywhere and there isn't one RC plane, car, boat in the place. Not even RTF or kits. They do have some CA at times along with a selection of X-acto blades and a very poor selection of Guillow's kits and that's it! As far as I'm concerned they just need to hang a sign on the door telling the un-aware that they don't stock RC items
The wife could spend all day in there and not cover everything I believe but as for me I've got to where I don't expect to find anything that I may be interested in, that way I'm not disappointed or ticked about driving over 120 miles to get there and back.

Ummmmm, John, the Hobby Lobby store you are speaking of is the chain of craft stores. This Hobby Lobby has only one location, the one Jason is speaking of in Brentwood, Tennessee. They are two different HL's.

Well I guess I've learned something today but in all the years of hearing about "Hobby Lobby" I never knew there were 2 different stores under the 1 name of "Hobby Lobby". Even the employees of this store don't seem to know that since when I've asked them why they don't stock any "RC related items or kits" they tell me that they "...don't have the room but that I/they can order what I want online". Then I get that "Deer in the headlights look" when I say something about needing something the same day. It's like they never heard of such a thing since they don't stock it. It really is a huge store IMO.
Anyway, Thanks for the information on the different types of stores under the HL name. Clears up some confusion but on the other hand it sorta creates more in a way. I also still stand by what I said about their balsa stock, it truly is the worst I've ever seen!!!

SJ
Edit;
Okay , so I Google this local Hobby Lobby and it's called a Creative Center but I think they still should stock lots of RC items as well because we've been known to be very creative when we need to or want to be

Crafts, like you said SJ, not much R/C merchandise.

The store in Brentwood. Wonder which came first, the R/C or craft?

John, you are right, RC folks are very creative.
Just as an aside, the Hobby Lobby chain and the Mardel Christian Stores are Oklahoma based stores, owned by one family. Mart Green, the owner, donated some 80 million to Oral Roberts University to bail them out of their financial woes.
That is also why Hobby Lobby is closed on Sunday.
