Do you use an office chair?
Some people like to stand at their modeling table, and I guess the rest of us like to sit in a chair.
I have always used a chair. Now after having an office-type chair for 60 years of building I finally put new casters on one.
I used what is called "Skateboard wheel casters"
If I had realized how great these things are I would have done it many years ago.
My chair moves silently like it is floating on air. Little bits of balsa do not stop a wheel and send you into the cabinet.
I love these things.
Measure the stem of your casters carefully, there are at least 3 different sizes.

Its like fishing ..... there are times to sit - times to stand.
If I'm soldering / joining things / setting up radio - prefer to sit ... I have both normal height chairs and a bar-stool ...
For major jobs - I prefer to stand as my benches are quite high and wide.

I guess because my dad set up a table 62 years ago and we used chairs, that just became my normal way of doing it.
For me, after many years of construction work, my back gets sore leaning of a table while standing, I have a surface in my shop that is almost 4' high for doing small things.
I do stand when doing the final setup and alignment of a plane. My wife wondered why I was so anal about getting the center island in our kitchen absolutely flat and level. 38" x 86"
I am certainly not trying to change anyone's style of building airplanes, but if you have a chair with small plastic casters, you will love these wheels

I learned the roller blade wheel trick many years ago when the high end 911 Dispatch Center chairs started coming with them.
I do have an office chair I use and have them on it now. I got a set from Office Max and they held up ok, about three year in one of the wheels started losing bearings so had to get a new set. Will not ever go back to a normal wheeled chair for sure,

I wasn't knocking wheeled chairs .... far from it.
My trouble is I am so untidy and have half my gear on the floor as well as on the benches - a rolling chair would be in trouble !
I have approx 25m of 1.6m wide benching and its covered with gear !! One day I may learn to be tidy ....

I am going to be building my new Garage/workshop/hobby shop etc in the next few months. Luckily I have 40 acres so heaps of room. I intend doing a steel American barn type shed.
Should be big enough for all my stuff and 2 or 3 cars.

As many know ... I stumped up for building my 'Mancave' ....
Total internal square is 12m x 8m
2 1/2 stories high.
Ground floor originally was to be 3 LARGE car slots (I measured my Renault Master Van to determine each slot size). But eventually moved stairs into the #3 slot and made that Boat Gear store, with stairs to upper floors. So I have 2 car garage - I can fully open all car doors without hitting walls etc. Then 3rd slot is store.
Second floor is divided into : Bar / Club room of 4m x 8m, with divider wall leading to workshop area 8m x 8m.
Workshop has benching all round the outer walls except where door to full length balcony ... my Laser machine sits near door to allow vent pipe to be put outside. There is a central walk round bench of 3m x 1.6m as well.
Third floor is half height as local Council restrict total height to no more than that of main house ... strange rule - but there it is !! It only extends halfway back so is 12m x 4m and accessed by drop down loft ladder. Idea was to use the area as Model Hangar / general storage.
