Default The Sloyak28/30

Ok people the wait is over, I took two great planes and made a super plane I call it the SloYak

After flying the slofly28 for a couple years now

and then flying the Yak54 designed my leadfeather here on the RCGROUPS

I came up with the SloYak38/30

plane is 1.3# 9mm white epp foam " I offer starter Kits on my site CLICK HERE
wingspan = 28"
AUW without battery pack 5.oz
with pack about 6.1 depending on pack
Battery Pack
Rhino 360mAh 2S 7.4v 20C Lipoly Pack Hobby King
servos are blue bird 306 Hobby King
motor
hexTronik 24gram Brushless Outrunner 1300kv Hobby King
or
hexTronik 24gram Brushless Outrunner 1500kv Hobby King
Turnigy 10amp esc Hobby King
GWS 9050 prop Hobby King
GWS R4 PII F 4Ch FM Pico Receiver 72mhz Hobby King
cg is center of the wing

Kit was hand cut and modified by myself (tallflyer)

Teaser video (need to put some paint on her now that I know she can fly)

all I can say is torque baby... teaser video

Enjoy..

I made made a mistake in the video I called leadfeathers plane the yak54 his plane is the EPP Yak55

Thanks to everyone for the input so I could get this project off the ground.

Default Another video

I had not flown my yak28 in a couple weeks so i took her out and knocked off the rust.

I upgraded my Motor to a Motrofly Outrunner

MOTROLFLY BRUSHLESS
MOTOR DM 2205-1350
This motor is for planes up to
17 oz. flying weight,
depending on model type.
For models requiring a brushless
motor capable of 80 watts.
Compares to a 300 size brushed.

you can order them from my site if you like

Robert do you have any of the black plastic mounts? My SuperSlo 28 is starting to get worn out, I'd like to have a SDYak28 going before it dies.

Check with West Michigan Park Flyers. They have the 10mm mounts at a very reasonable price.

I received my mounts Robert, thanks again .

Here's a pic of my SloYak, not much to see yet. The wing is pinned down waiting on the Welder's hinges to dry so I can start coloring on it.
