Flew a few hours today, overcast making it a little difficult to judge orientation but all my models made it home safe. Mid 70's and calm until about 11 AM. Got 1 flight with the Stearman before the breeze took over. I'm not ready to take her up in an Xwind more than about 5 kts.

Flew one of my Flyzone Aircore planes today and a gust of wind slammed it into the garage. I was surprised that there was no damage to the plane.

Today it was blowing hard - 40MPH or thereabouts - but tomorrow is supposed to be 60 degrees with winds of under 10MPH, so I'm charging up a buncha batteries right now. I hope the weatherman's gotten it right!

60-ish degrees, winds only blowing 5-10MPH. I discharged several batteries this afternoon.

Here I am helping my flying buddy with his Zeta FX-79 Buffalo. I launch it and then he takes over flying.
I fitted a Bigaole with RTH so if he gets disorientated he just needs to flick a switch and it will recover safely.
It is really nicely made and flies beautifully. 2 meters span, powered by a E-Max BL 2826 motor and 2 X parellel 3000 mAh 3S Multistar batteries for a minimum 20 minutes flight time.

I actually managed to get a couple flights in out in the backyard yesterday afternoon. 1st time I have flown since January 6th!

Rainy and windy the next couple days then calling for snow again... typical spring East TN bipolar weather.

Glad to hear it. I know the feeling. My one day of flying came in between 40 MPH winds on one side, and freezing rain on the other. Got to grab it while you can!

It was 70 and sunny here yesterday, did some yard work, cut the grass, enjoyed a spring afternoon... supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow overnight tonight.

Did that last year with the Tidewater. Have my Timber on floats, if there is enough it will go out for sure!

Here's the weather at my house through the weekend. Note than, in addition to winds blowing 20-30MPH+, the temperature is going from 84 today to below freezing two days hence. Springtime in Kansas!

Weather here is better but windy. Forecast is to have another cold spell ... but hoping that it is short.
We have Opening Season on 29th in the ex Soviet Mig Fighter airfield. Just hope that weather is kind.

Looking really nice here through the weekend now. Was supposed to rain saturday but they have changed the forecast so instead of going to a swap meet I am hoping to go fly instead!

I just finished up programming differential thrust for my new wing and really want to try it out but 30MPH+ is a little much for a lightweight plane that still isn't dialed in. I hope I can stand the wait, and don't just destroy the plane trying to fly it in ridiculous weather.

Sure enough - it was almost 90F on Thursday and currently it's 34F with winds gusting into the low 40's. And a bit of snow.

Default April Fool

Winter is back,we have a snow storm with heavy snow and rain and ice.
Winds gusting to 30mph and we lost power yesterday.
I need to make a gas run for my generator.
Sure could use some sunshine without the wind.

Think I’ve flown twice since Jan. Wind and rain. And the few nice days, I’ve been out of town. Sigh.
