ok, with this new knowledge, my guess would be...

do you have an AMA card? if so, and you have a guardian with you, you should be able to fly.

AMA card, is your proof of membership to the Academy of Model Aeronautics. Membership with them gives you insurance that most clubs require that you have to fly at their fields.

If you want to be able to join in at these types of events, or even fly at an official field, you should look into joining.

Give AMA a call. Chances are you will pay for 1/2 the year...so consider that in your budget, ask them first.

It will only cost you a dollar for an AMA card.

Call them at (765) 287-1256 to get the ball rolling. Since you are a minor you can't apply online.
