Thanks for the offer. I will post your post in the other thread. Wes has had a death in his family and is away for a few days.

I spoke with my company tax attorney, and I need some information from Wes to make this happen.

Jim -- can you please ask Wes to contact me?

For those on facebook the Fly In has a Facebook page here.
The "Official" fly In email is [email protected].

Ok time to set up a date for another Fly In meeting. I am thinking August 14th ( sat) or 15th (sun)
Which day would work for everyone for a planning meeting?
I am to make a presentation on the 19th of that month to the Chamber of commerce and want to have the meeting first.

Wes, I would prefer Saturday over Sunday. If it is on Sunday, I won't be able to be there until 1:00 or so.

The meeting will be Sunday the 15th. We will set a ball park time of 2:00 pm. If everyone is there sooner we can start sooner.
I will be there before that anyway. And likely there much later too.
I will have the presentation board done and will show everone what it looks like.

Default Donations from Stevens Aeromdel

Here is what Bill sent for the Fly In.
It is called the Double shot.
Now would it be better to leave it in the package or build it and raffle off that way?
Here is a link to the plane on his site.

Perhaps someone will donate a couple of rolls of covering and other stuff to make it a complete package?

I agree, leave it as a kit. The Stevens kits are nice to build.

I plan on winning that one, and most of the other ones too, so could you go ahead and build it. Put a really hot motor in it, and a castle ice 100amp ESC so it can handle 5 cells. I want it to hit speeds of 150+ Pylon racing here we come!

Default Newspaper coverage

I am meeting with the editor of the local paper today. He is going to start featuring the fly in this Sunday. And will do so from now till the Fly In. And then after will do a follow up like last year.
So anything I can tell him for news about it will be a BIG help!

I just got back from meeting with the Editor of the local paper. He is planning on coming to the planning meeting on the 15th of next month.

There will be the first in a series of articles coming out in the paper Sunday.

I visited the School District today. They are going to hand out flyiers to all the students when school starts up in a few weeks.
That will boost attendance among kids and parents too.

Right now I am still trying to come up with the cash to order shirts made.
Not an easy thing to do with no set income and doing it out of my own pocket!

Default T shirts

Ok I DO want to have T shirts again this year. And I have someone that can do a great job on them.
But I am going to need to come up with at least $200.00 to make it happen.
The only way I can come up with the money myself to do this would be to sell out of the hobby. Not my first choice.....
The art work I am thinking of would be an updated version of what we had last year. The printing will be higher quality then last year .

SO.... Time to know if people really want T shirts and are willing to pay up front.
If they do not happen the money would be returned.
To make this easier to do paypal would be preferred.

I am also open to artwork someone else can provide.
I will looking into having names on them.
So SPEAK UP!
