Safe select/BNF issues

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this so but I’ll just go for it.
I’ve had many eflite BNF planes with safe select. I’ve used safe select to become a semi competent pilot and I still use it to this day.
I just got an eflite pitts S1S 850mm with safe select. I bound it correctly, and it sorta works.
It does try to auto correct but the banking limits are way too low and the elevator hardly moves at all when tilted forward or backward.
Like if safe select had rates and they were down to virtually nothing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With Safe selected the system will limit both the elevator and aileron travel. Further when you let go of the sticks the system will automatically return the plane to straight and level, provided you have set it up correctly.
There are several comments that this feature could be considered pointless in a highly aerobatic plane like a Pitts. If you need Safe you really shouldn't be flying a Pitts. Learn to fly lesser planes with Safe 'off' from take to landing..
The receiver may have A3X technology which reacts almost instantly to any disturbance so making the plane smoother to fly, as if is was bigger and heavier. It does not limit the full travel of any control surface so if you are a sufficiently competent pilot the full aerobatic capability is retained.
