Default Using 2S Lipos on brushed motors? OK??

Hello , I am putting together a plane for a friend of mine who has helped me so many times with lots of different things . I am going to use a brushed motor and the voltage listed is 9.6 volts .. Can I use a 2 cell lipo motor with this motor ?? Seems like a good Idea to me ..

What I am building is a super cub as a lot of you know you can buy the parts pretty cheap without the "crash saving" stuff I have this 480 motor eflite that fits the transmission real good .. it might not e right but I'm gonna use the transmitter that comes with the plane . Good enough for a beginner ? I think ..

But anyhow the only question is the battery 2 cell lipo .. should work fine eh . ... Thanks .. Hope everyone had a safe holiday , Don J.
